When the Energy Stops: Understanding Kundalini Blockages

Image
Let’s be honest, talking about Kundalini isn’t always straightforward. It’s become one of those buzzwords people throw around without really understanding what it means, or what it actually feels like when things stop flowing. Some people think once you’ve had an awakening, it’s all uphill. Like the energy rises once and you’re suddenly floating on a cloud of insight forever. That’s not how it works. The energy can stall. It can loop. It can go quiet. You might even wonder if it left you. It didn’t. But it does respond to where you're at: physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. If you're feeling disconnected or like your practices aren’t hitting the same way, it's not a sign that you’re doing something wrong. It might be a sign that something deeper needs attention. Let's talk about that. What Is Kundalini, Really? Kundalini isn’t just a serpent at the base of your spine or some abstract cosmic current. It’s life force. It’s the spark in you that knows how t...

The Truth About Being a Witch: It's Not Just About Magic

Image
Image by freepik on Freepik.com Am I a Real Witch? Yes and no. This isn’t an easy question to answer, and it’s definitely not a simple one. A lot of people crave labels, but they often overlook what comes with those labels. A title is not just a name; it’s a responsibility. It’s a statement about who you are, both to yourself and to others. You can call yourself anything you wish, but remember, with that title come both benefits and consequences. Far too often, people focus on the benefits or the social stigma of a label and forget to consider the responsibilities it carries. There’s a common misconception that magic can solve everything. That’s simply not true. Magic is a tool. It’s energy manipulation, and just like any tool, the user must learn how to wield it. Real witches understand this truth. It’s not about what you can do with magic, but how well you understand the flow of energy and how to interact with it. Mundane vs. Magic There are moments when magic is needed, and moments ...

Doctors Say "Lose Weight." But It’s Not That Simple.*

Image
Image from Freepik.com Doctor: You need to lose weight. Me: I’m trying! Sound familiar? For me, this has been the routine for the past 15 years. Every visit to the doctor starts with a lecture about my weight. No acknowledgment of my efforts. No real guidance. Just criticism, followed by those two words. “Lose weight.” The emotional toll is real. It’s frustrating, exhausting, and honestly, it’s hard to keep trying when no one takes the time to understand what you’re actually going through. A Mystery No One Took Seriously Last year, I started having issues with my digestion. I’ll spare the details, but let’s just say something was definitely off. Nausea after eating, weird pain in my upper abdomen, and my body was not doing what it should. At first, I thought it was related to scar tissue from a previous surgery. But a quick Google search suggested gallbladder issues. I went to my doctor hoping for help. Instead, I got the usual, “You need to lose weight.” That was it. Eventually, I pus...

Reincarnation: How Spring, Easter, and Ostara Reflect the Cycles of Life

Image
Image by jemastock on Freepik.com Easter isn’t just a time of celebration for Christians. This stretch of early spring has long been a sacred time for many different cultures and belief systems. As the light returns and the cold grip of winter starts to fade, something shifts. There’s a sense of movement again—an energy that gently pushes life forward. Whether it’s a religious holiday, a seasonal shift, or just something felt in the body, this time of year carries a certain kind of awakening. For Christians, Easter is centered around the resurrection of Jesus after his crucifixion. It’s seen as a sign of hope, of salvation, and the triumph of life over death. At the same time, in the Jewish tradition, Passover is observed—commemorating the liberation of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. Both holidays usually overlap, as they’re set by the lunar calendar and often fall in March or April. In many older, earth-based traditions, this season is also sacred. Pagans celebrate the Spring E...

Decisions: How We Choose, and Why It Matters

Image
Image by storyset on Freepik.com "In Spanish, French, and Italian, 'decisions' are something you 'take', like a train that leads you somewhere new. Whereas in English you 'make' them like little pieces of your own creation. But in German you 'meet' them, like friends."   ~The Language Nerds on Facebook     Making decisions can be one of the hardest parts of life. Every day, whether we notice it or not, we're making them. From the tiniest moment to the biggest life altering fork in the road. Just getting out of bed in the morning is a decision. What to wear, what to ear, whether to show up for the day or not - it all counts. Some decisions feel automatic, like second nature. Others keep us up at night. And the thing is, there won't ever be a day where we don't face some kind of choice. That's part of being human. A Few Definitions to Ground Us Before we go too deep, it's helpful to understand some of the words we're wor...

Affirmations: More Than Positive Thinking - A Pathway to Healing, Action, and Alignment

Image
Image by freepik on Freepik.com Let me be clear: affirmations are not a magic spell. They are not wishful thinking wrapper up in pretty words. And they are certainly not an excuse to sit still while the universe moves mountains for you. To me, affirmations are a form of prayer. A quiet (or loud) declaration to the Universe, to God, to the Divine Creator, however you connect spiritually, that says, "I'm ready. I want this. Help me do what I need to do." It's not a plea to be rescued. It's a call to be empowered. When I use affirmations, I'm not asking for something to be handed to me. I'm acknowledging that something in me needs to shift. I recognize a pattern, a belief, or a fear that's standing in the way of who I want to be or what I want to experience. Affirmations become my tool for rewriting those patterns. They motivate me. They remind me of my strength. They realign me with what I already know deep down to be true: I am capable. I am worthy. I...

Finding Motivation When You Lack Direction

Image
Image by Waewkidja on Freepik.com What’s Been Keeping Me from Moving Forward? Simple Answer: Motivation—or the lack of it. When I first started my coursework in metaphysical science, I never imagined it would take me over 16 months to complete. In the beginning, I thought, “This is going to be easy. I’ll breeze through it and move on to the next thing.” Boy, was I wrong. As I dove deeper into the topics, I quickly realized that this wasn’t going to be a walk in the park. Some lessons hit harder than others, and as the months wore on, I found myself questioning everything: Why had it taken me so long? And what did I really want out of all this? There were times when I simply lost motivation. The pull to finish my assignments faded, and instead of pushing through, I found myself stuck. Some of it was laziness, but there was more to it. Something deeper, something I couldn’t quite put my finger on. Why couldn’t I finish what I had started? Was it the coursework? Sure, some topics di...

Blog Update April 2025

Image by rawpixel.com on Freepik.com   What Have I Been Doing? Simple Answer: Getting lost in my spiritual journey. It’s a bit tricky to talk about, but here I am, ready to share. For the past couple of months, I’ve been trying to summon the energy to sit in front of my computer and write. I’ve wanted to share what I’m passionate about with you all, but no matter how hard I tried, the words just wouldn't come. The motivation? It wasn’t there. The energy? Completely drained. There are moments in life when you push yourself too hard, and eventually, the universe says, “Enough.” It makes you stop, even if you’re not ready to listen. And that’s exactly what happened to me. The break I’d been avoiding was handed to me. I was forced to pause. And while it wasn’t easy at first, I can honestly say that I needed it. It was a time for healing—mentally, physically, and especially spiritually. My spiritual well-being had been calling for rest, but I kept ignoring it, pushing myself forward. Th...
